What is EdLinks?
Education Links (EdLinks) is an OpenArts program that matches BVSD K-12 art teachers with professional, local artists for classroom instruction, projects, presentations, and demonstrations at no cost to the school. EdLinks funds up to five classroom hours plus a stipend for student supplies for each artist in any given classroom.
This exciting program has received a grant from the Youth Opportunity Advisory Board (YOAB) which serves middle and high schools within the Boulder city limits. If you know any teachers serving in this area, please feel free to contact them directly and let them know that you are participating in the EdLinks program.
If you are a teacher who is interested in taking advantage of this unique and valuable resource please download the application and return it to stephen@openartsboulder.org at your earliest convenience. The way the program works is once you have filled out the applicatuion we will send you a list of participating artists. You may then contact the artist directly to schedule a convenient time for them to present in your class. Upon the completion of the program you will be asked to complete the teacher's evaluation and have your students fill out the students evaluation form. The artist will submit an evealuation form as well, along with an invoice for up to 5 hours compensated at $30/hour and upto $1/student in supply costs (provided it is accompanied by receipts).
If you have questions, please feel free to contact Stephen at stephen@openartsboulder.org or call 303-444-1862.
Thank you for your time and interest. This has been a wonderful experience for all participants.
