OpenArts is partnering with Downtown Boulder, Inc to host a new Art Festival which combines the best of our Spring Art Fair and DBI’s Downtown Boulder Art Fair.
In its inaugural year, Open Arts Fest, is a celebration of Boulder’s visual arts unlike any other. Local artists will be joined by artists from around the country, providing demonstrations, workshops and showcasing their work. There will be exciting children’s art activities, a silent auction benefiting OpenArts scholarship programs, plus live music, dance, food, drinks – and much, much more!
The new Open Arts Fest will be held on July 16 & 17, 2011 on the Pearl Street Mall—mark your calendars.

The Open Arts Fest uses the Zapplication™ System, an easy to use one-stop online application process that allows you to submit and manage your application to many festivals throughout the country, including the Open Arts Fest.
Applying online is simple:
Go to www.zapplication.org
- If you are a new user, registration is free and profile set up is simple. If you are already a registered user of Zapp™, log in!
- Locate our festival by selecting Sort by Name, which lists all art shows alphabetically.
- Clicking on Open Arts Fest will provide you with our complete prospectus and application.
- Select and upload your digital images in the format outlined in Image Preparation.
- Complete the online application and submit by the scheduled deadline: March 25, 2011.
Our Jury will meet the first week of April. Notification will be sent out via email on April 15, 2011. The deadline to accept is May 13, 2011. Deadline to withdraw is June 3, 2011.
