What is EdLinks?
Education Links (EdLinks) is an OpenArts program that matches BVSD K-12 art teachers with professional, local artists for classroom instruction, projects, presentations, and demonstrations at no cost to the school. EdLinks funds up to five classroom hours plus a stipend for student supplies.

If you are interested in working with students, and in the classroom, this is the project for you. We are asking for artists who are interested in lecturing, demonstrating, or conducting a "hands on" class (maybe you would like to do all three!). OpenArts is able to pay a stipend of $30 per hour of class time, and purchase basic art supplies needed for the class. Class periods vary from school to school (from 45 minutes to approximately 2 hours). You may wish to do a single presentation or as many as five sessions. If you have a really special program in mind which would exceed these requirements please feel free to contact us and we may be persuaded to make more resources available.

This exciting program has received a grant from the Youth Opportunity Advisory Board (YOAB) which serves middle and high schools within the Boulder city limits. If you know any teachers serving in this area, please feel free to contact them directly and let them know that you are participating in the EdLinks program.

New and returning artists interested in EdLinks are asked to complete the application form and return it to OpenArts within one month of your proposed classroom hour(s). Once we determine the scope of each class and which teachers are able to participate, we will match you with a teacher and then encourage you to work directly with them to confirm mutually agreeable schedules.
